When to use it

Visibility: show password, view counts, watch and preview actions. Its meaning is almost always defined by its off state — use eye and eye-off as a strict toggle pair and never mix families mid-product. On password fields, show the eye while the value is hidden (tap to reveal). Heroicons and Phosphor name the off state eye-slash; Lucide, Tabler and Feather say eye-off.
