When to use it

Add, create, new. As the primary action it earns a filled circle or FAB treatment; bare, it works inline for 'add another row'. Resist using plus for 'expand' — that job belongs to the chevron — and keep exactly one plus-as-create per screen or users won't know which new thing they're getting. Remix names it add-line; searching 'plus' there finds nothing.
