When to use it

The beetle means software defects: bug reports, debug mode, issue trackers. It's playful, which suits internal tooling; for user-facing error states prefer the alert triangle, since asking users to care about 'bugs' undersells a failure. Heroicons draws its version as an ant and names it bug-ant — same job, different insect. Everyone else agrees on a round beetle.
