When to use it

The open padlock: access granted, content unlocked, protection off. Naming splits into two philosophies — unlock (Feather, Remix's lock-unlock) versus lock-open (Heroicons, Tabler, Phosphor). Use it as a state, not a button, where possible: showing a closed lock that opens on tap is clearer than a permanently open one inviting confusion about which state you're in.
